Some Changes
Baby K was underfoot more than usual today. He didn't want to sleep at all and actually only had 1 nap for a about an hour. He is getting much more aware of everything and I think he's afraid that if he falls asleep he will miss out on something. He had another tooth break threw today too. He is so much fun - he claps and today he started playing peek-a-boo on his own. He holds the blanket and hides behind it and laughs uncontrollably when he brings it down. I love him.

Camping Trip
For the August long weekend we went camping with friends. J & L were nice enough to go out a couple of nights early to set up a tent to ensure that we would have spot! Its a good thing too because the campground was completely full! I wasn't really thinking when I got Mr O dressed for camping - camo on a 2 year old in the bush is probably not the most intelligent choice! Bright colors, bright colors, bright colors - I will remember for next time. Luckily it wasn't an issue!
E is Mr O's best bud - they have been friends since they were like 3 or 4 months old. They play really well together and Jenn and I only have to referee occasionally (they are 2 after all). E is very particular about certain things. He always wanted his little blanket on the ground for him to play on but then he would lie next to it! Poor E did a spectacular face plant into the gravel (Mr O was innocent Yay!). I didn't get a picture of his poor little face with his scratched up nose and lip but he was looking a little rough. Thank God he didn't break any teeth.
The babies were so cute, as always. They liked to just sit and look at each other. J keeps saying they are going to get married ... maybe shes right. lol. Lil Miss A can sit all by herself - she is so talented. Baby K can't yet so he got the Bumbo for the camping trip. The older boys kept on fighting over the babies. At first the babes liked the attention but when it turned into baby tug of war they were less than enthused.
J brought stickers out for the boys to play with. A note to all of you parents out there - don't let your kids do this with stickers, yes it looks cute but the longer they stay on the harder they are to get off. Poor Mr O had blotchy red arms & face for a couple of hours. It was a wicked trip and I think everyone had lots of fun. I know I did!
Splash Park!!

Ok, I know that it has been forever since I last blogged but we have been busy enjoying the summer! These pictures were taken at the Splash Park near the end of July. J, E & Miss A joinedMr O, Baby K and myself at the park. The older kids had a blast, E didn't want to get wet and Mr O was in the water constantly.Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Hmmm .... What To Do?????
Ok so I am having a little bit of a dilemma. We are trading our truck in for a vehicle that is a little better on gas because we commute so much. We are Toyota lovers so that is the brand that we will be sticking with. Now for the dilemma part - I love the RAV 4 but I think that we need the space of the Sienna. Which (in fairness) is a fairly nice minivan.I just don't know if I'm ready to make the leap into the minivan world. Have I really become this person who drives a minivan? The RAV is a tiny bit better on gas and is awesome but it lacks the space that I think that we need, especially once we no longer have the truck.

Second Trip to the Yukon
Well the second trip wasn't all that different from the first. This time my sister came with us so that was nice. There were lots of animals on the road. I wasn't able to get many pictures of animals because I was driving the whole way because S doesn't drive. We saw 5 black bears and 2 Grizzly bears! We stopped at the Liard River Hotsprings, we didn't go in but it was nice to get out of the car for a little hike.
Sleepy Kids
Baby K just bounces until he falls asleep - he doesn't cry or anything
Hilarious - this was the other day he went into his room for a nap and this is how I found him when I went to check on him
Aaw, So freakin' cute
Yes he really is asleep. On the floor in front of him are the pretzels that he felt the need to chew up and spit out. Lovely - he really is quite charming!

Yukon Trip
So as some of you may know I packed up the boys and we drove to the Yukon, Watson Lake more precisely. It went really well. Both kids travelled great and we had lots of fun. So much in fact that we are going again this Sunday ... aah the joys of mat leave!
Watson Lake is my hometown and while it definitely has its flaws there is so much to offer there. There is a swimming pool that no one goes to - we went to a family swim and we were the only ones there. There is Lucky Lake which has a gorgeous sandy beach, picnic tables and fire pits and there were only a few people out there on a beautiful sunshiny day. The town has lots of underused and under appreciated facilities. I would never want to live there again - way too small with about 1000 people - the only grocery store closes at 6pm, 7 in the summer but its a nice place to visit with kids.
My parents came back part way with us and we camped 2 nights. Anyways the pictures are below - enjoy!
