Play Date

E, A & J came out for a visit today!Here is Miss A & Baby K relaxing and enjoying the sunshineThe older boys had lots of fun playing on the new set, riding the tricycles and just chasing each other around. There were a few little kerfuffles but for the most part they were both very well behaved. - They have the "sorry hugs" down to an art. Hehehe!

Sellers Remorse ... WTH???

Well not much going on around here today. We've listed our boat, trailer and motor and our Sunfire on kijiji to sell. We've gotten a lot of interest in both but when it really comes down to it I don't know if I want to sell. I'm attached to the Sunfire because it was/is the first car I ever bought. The boat and motor are 7 years old but because we never have any time to use it is basically brand new. Less than 50 hours on them. They still have the showroom shine. I know that we could use the money more than 2 things that sit in the yard doing nothing but I'm just having a hard time with it. I know its stupid. Especially with the boat, having two really young kids we aren't comfortable taking them out in the boat until at the very least they fit into life jackets properly. We haven't used it for over 2 years now - definitely time to sell. Well thanks for reading my ridiculous rant. ;) Good Night.

New Playset

Well here it is - the new addition to our front yard! K set it up really fast - I was impressed I expected it to take longer than it did. Mr O really likes it but whats not to like?
You can't see it in this picture very well but the new set already took a "swing" at Mr O. He is the proud owner of a fat, bloody lip and a nice goose egg on his head. I tried to warn him but he is this crazy little wild child. He would get the swings going erratically and then run through them - sort of playing chicken. What can you do?

On another note yesterday we went for a walk and Mr O took his trike. We live out on an acreage so its really quiet - no traffic. K and Baby K & I were about 10 feet ahead of Mr O & his bike. Then we hear "weeeeee fun" and look to see Mr O at the edge of the rather steep ditch with the bike pointing down the hill. Crazy! K managed to grab the back of the bike just before he flipped the thing. What is it with boys?

The River

Well its not more pictures of the zoo like I promised last post but they are on the other computer and I'm feeling too lazy to transfer them to this one to get them here. When we returned from Calgary we brought my brother and his stuff to Edmonton. He stayed with us for a couple of days before continuing on to the Yukon where he will be working for the summer.
We went down to the river to play. Mr O loves water! He was really mad when it was time to go home.

Calgary Trip

We went to the zoo for the day on Saturday and had tons of fun. We had never been to the zoo before. It was a beautiful day!K & Mr O & Triceratops

Mr O is Tired ;)

After running around and playing outside in the glorious sunshine Mr O came inside and promptly fell asleep in the baby swing. Well sort of in it. I don't know how he could sleep - it doesn't look comfortable!

New Camera

On Saturday we returned our bottles with BPA to Toys "R" Us and got $50 in store credit. So of course we had to spend it! ;) We got Mr O his very first camera. Its a little tikes digital one - so cute and it looks like it should be able to handle a few trips down the stairs. Here he is with his new camera and I'll post some of his "work" later.

These are just some pictures I took of Baby K last night. He is growing so fast! He coos and smiles all the time now. I can't wait till the end of the month when he gets more pro shots done!

Crazy Mr O

My kid is hilarious. I think so anyways. Today we were reading a color & numbers book. It didn't matter which color I pointed to he would say "greeen, nooooo!" and then laugh hysterically. He knows his colors and thought it was funny to give me the wrong answer. I couldn't help but laugh.He also has a monster that lives behind the couch. He is not afraid of this monster in fact he seems to like him. He will steal my nose and feed it to the monster, that is if he doesn't just "fro it away" or "step it" Apparently the monster likes our remotes too because that is almost always where they can be found.

Sometimes I wonder about this kid ;)

Fun at the Park

On Sunday we went to Devon to have dinner with some friends and we went over to the park to let Mr O play. He had lots of fun!

Weiner Roast

Last Saturday we decided to enjoy the nice weather by having a weiner roast in the backyard. The kids had a lot of fun and K and I were kept busy trying to keep Mr O from playing in the fire.

Smoky's Gone

Last night when I was outside with Owen & Kael I noticed that one of our barn cats wasn't using his left hind leg. I waited until my dh got home and then I took old Smoke into the clinic so that I could sedate him to check out his leg - it was too painful to do it without sedation. Well there were puncture wounds & he had a torn cruciate. He would have had to have had surgery and live indoors for at least 6 weeks (which he hates - we tried it when we first moved here) and he was also quite old so I made the difficult decision to put him to sleep.

Smoky came with the house - when we moved in he was already living in the barn. He was an awesome cat and he will be missed.

Busy Boy

Mr O is a bit of a terror - whenever I am nursing Baby K he takes full advantage of his "free time". Yesterday he thought that it would be a good idea to rip open the closed garbage bag and eat a week old cupcake. YUK! Actually judging from the amount of crumbs he left everywhere I don't think he could have eaten very much of it.

Even while I am writing this post I can hear him in my room snooping around and probably making some kind of a mess. Gotta go ....
