Some Changes

I am going to change the way I use this blog and do more of an online journal. I don't know how it is going to work so bear with me. Today we stayed at home for the whole day! A major accomplishment. More often than not we find some excuse to go into town. I got some laundry done, did the dishes, picked up in the living room. Mr O and I did some Christmas crafts together. We made Santa's out of toilet paper rolls & felt.

Baby K was underfoot more than usual today. He didn't want to sleep at all and actually only had 1 nap for a about an hour. He is getting much more aware of everything and I think he's afraid that if he falls asleep he will miss out on something. He had another tooth break threw today too. He is so much fun - he claps and today he started playing peek-a-boo on his own. He holds the blanket and hides behind it and laughs uncontrollably when he brings it down. I love him.

Good Night

Its Official

Mom and Dad have finally moved here. They just returned yesterday from their last enforced trip to the Yukon and are here to stay. It will be so nice to have family close. Mr O & Baby K will get to grow up actually knowing their only set of grandparents. Not that they didn't before but its hard when you live an 18 hour drive apart. Now there is only 20 mins separating us!

Time Flies When Your Having Fun

I know, I know I'm a crappy blogger. We've just been so busy this summer, what with the 2 kids and a puppy and my parents house hunting, etc, etc the list goes on and on. On a happy note my parents have found a beautiful house and are actually moving here as I type this! They should arrive tomorrow sometime. Yay! I now have full access to free babysitting! Ha Ha just joking mom!
At the end of last month we met Hope at Rotary park to do Baby K's 6 month pictures (OMG 6 months! Can you believe it?!). Once again they are absolutely fantastic! I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when the Milestones package is done. We'll have to plead with her for pictures every 6 months or so. Otherwise we'll have to find another photographer. Gasp!

Anyways here are my favourites from the session,

I can't believe that summer is over. I'm already thinking Christmas and Halloween and Mr O's 3rd birthday, Crazy! Vandal is entered in some dog shows this fall. So much to do so little time.

Here are a couple of pics of our newest Rottweiler, Vandal. She is about 6 months old in these pictures.

Camping Trip

For the August long weekend we went camping with friends. J & L were nice enough to go out a couple of nights early to set up a tent to ensure that we would have spot! Its a good thing too because the campground was completely full! I wasn't really thinking when I got Mr O dressed for camping - camo on a 2 year old in the bush is probably not the most intelligent choice! Bright colors, bright colors, bright colors - I will remember for next time. Luckily it wasn't an issue!
E is Mr O's best bud - they have been friends since they were like 3 or 4 months old. They play really well together and Jenn and I only have to referee occasionally (they are 2 after all). E is very particular about certain things. He always wanted his little blanket on the ground for him to play on but then he would lie next to it! Poor E did a spectacular face plant into the gravel (Mr O was innocent Yay!). I didn't get a picture of his poor little face with his scratched up nose and lip but he was looking a little rough. Thank God he didn't break any teeth.
The babies were so cute, as always. They liked to just sit and look at each other. J keeps saying they are going to get married ... maybe shes right. lol. Lil Miss A can sit all by herself - she is so talented. Baby K can't yet so he got the Bumbo for the camping trip. The older boys kept on fighting over the babies. At first the babes liked the attention but when it turned into baby tug of war they were less than enthused.

J brought stickers out for the boys to play with. A note to all of you parents out there - don't let your kids do this with stickers, yes it looks cute but the longer they stay on the harder they are to get off. Poor Mr O had blotchy red arms & face for a couple of hours.

It was a wicked trip and I think everyone had lots of fun. I know I did!

Splash Park!!

Ok, I know that it has been forever since I last blogged but we have been busy enjoying the summer! These pictures were taken at the Splash Park near the end of July. J, E & Miss A joinedMr O, Baby K and myself at the park. The older kids had a blast, E didn't want to get wet and Mr O was in the water constantly.

I love watching Mr O play with other kids. He is so outgoing. He must get it from his father. He makes me so proud.

The babes stayed cool in the shade with J and I while we chatted and kept a constant eye on the boys. They are growing up so fast - Miss A can already sit up by herself!
